Private Photo Vault alternative
PicVaultPro vs Private Photo Vault
Private Photo Vault is a popular iPhone vault with a decoy password and break-in reports. PicVaultPro encrypts every photo on your device before upload, on every plan, and works on the web and Android too.
Encryption on every plan
Private Photo Vault describes its Cloud Vault backup as encrypted with a password that is never backed up to its servers, and the free version does not back up to the Cloud Vault.
With PicVaultPro, every upload on every plan, including the free one, is encrypted on your device before it leaves it.
Where Private Photo Vault is the better pick
- Decoy password and break-in reports with a photo and GPS location.
- Works fully offline as a local vault on your iPhone.
What PicVaultPro can and can't see
Your photo and video contents are encrypted on your device before upload, and we can't read them. We can read metadata: file names, capture time and location, file type and size, and the album, tag and people names you create. Optional face recognition runs on PicVaultPro's servers. Full details are in our privacy policy.
